The green maintenance & management concept: We at the tt Timber Group believe working for forests and trading in timber have to go hand in hand since the future of forests and timber depend on sustainable forest management.

nProtect wildlife
nProtect biodiversity
nProtect watersheds
nProtect future trees
nProtect livelihoods
nProtect resources
nProtect cultures
The tt Timber Group manages forest concessions in Africa but because forests differ, different operating methods are necessary. Some forests should be completely protected, whilst others should be used responsibly for the better of all.

By collecting and using data to arrive at scientifically based conclusions, we are able to match the appropriate management and extracting methods in these “production” forests with long term strategic planning, ensuring their sustained future. During our day-to-day activities we take great care to mitigate our impact. Rather than clear cutting or 'mining' the forests, selective logging takes place.

In this regard we are not only playing a leading role in sustainable forest management in the Congo Basin, but also on an international level through our various direct memberships to organisations such as IFIA, IWPA, TFF, as well as indirect participation in ATIBT, AOB, ITTO, etc.
In the consumer countries we play a major part in promoting timber usage through transparency, information distribution, and active dialogue with all stakeholders. As a result we have collaboration agreements with WCS and WWF. Our philosophy: sustainable solutions depend on constructive dialogue with all serious stakeholders.
