Win or lose, the end of the fantasy football season for a fantasy junkie sucks. So why quit? Join playoff fantasy football leagues and keep playing fantasy football during the NFL playoffs into 2012.
Skip the talk, show me the money leagues: Best Payouts and Format You Will Find
I’ve played in a lot of fantasy football playoff leagues and most suck except for salary cap games. The reason salary cap games work even in the playoffs is because they limit who you can pick so if you get Drew Brees for your QB, you’re not going to have money to get Arian Foster as your RB or whoever, you get the idea: you have to balance your team out to stay under the cap.
So what playoff fantasy football league do I recommend for salary cap? I am absolutely addicted to this Draft Salary Cap Game.
First of all, they have great payouts – approximately 91% payouts. Secondly, there’s a ton of people playing so you can get great run – no waiting around for leagues to fill, no draft time confusion, no complicated rules and settings, no other stuff to worry about.
Third, you can absolutely bank. In my first week there I played 3 cash games for $22, $11, $11 and I won $180 (net profit $136). Basically if you’re a fantasy shark, you’re going to have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in 2012 because there’s a lot of people there that don’t really know their stuff. A lot of the leagues are fantasy football for beginners so there’s a ton of cash prizes just out there for the taking.
If you seriously want to make money playing fantasy football – and I’m talking about $1,000′s a week here – just play in a bunch of leagues (10 or more) and mix up your teams a little bit to cover your bases. If you’re good at picking out the fantasy sleepers for the week to put in your starting lineup, you will be making money with fantasy football – and possibly other fantasy sports – week in and week out.
Another thing I like about salary cap leagues is they don’t take a lot of time. No waiver wires, no picking between two guys off your bench. Just hone in on the high value sleepers, make sure they have good positional matchups, check for injuries and then start ‘em.
I am going to have so much fun this Christmas and 2012 making money in salary cap leagues every week. I can’t wait until they put up the new cash games for this week (some leagues are free) and then NBA basketball is also coming up today.
Anyways, if you’re out of the playoffs in your fantasy league or you’re a stud with another championship trophy and you want to play some playoff fantasy football during the 2012 NFL postseason and make a lot of money, then grab yourself a salary cap game and you will have a blast. I am completely addicted to these weekly salary cap games.

If you’re looking for free fantasy football playoff leagues, they have free fantasy football playoffs games where you can win cash prizes and even small $2 games just to get your feet wet with playing for money.
The best fantasy football postseason leagues for NFL fantasy football playoffs bar none. Please come back after your first week playing and tell me I’m not 100% right. I dare you. Got a better fantasy league for the playoffs? Leave a comment below.
TT-Timber.com on 2012 Playoff Fantasy Football Leagues

This is a great resource…I’ve done pretty well in my last few leagues so have been thinking of stepping it up and playing for a little more money, see if I can turn a hobby into a profit, and from what you’ve been saying, seems like I should be able to. Another thing I’m on the look out for to use next year is a new site for online stats tracking. When I watch the games live I use the RedZone channel, I picked it up through my job at DISH and love it…it has some really cool fantasy-specific features built in. Sometimes I work Sundays though, so it’d be nice to have something reliable and smart-phone friendly so I can keep myself updated during my breaks at work. Any tips you have in that direction are much appreciated.
Nice post. I can only assume you pitch salary cap games because you have not played a good standard format playoff game. Give ours a try at playoffblitz.com , You run it like your regular season league. As many people can join as you like. The difference is there is no draft. You pick a starting line up each week so you still get the same process as regular season FFL. The catch; as soon as you use a player they are dead to you. It requires strategy, knowledge, and just like regular FFL, a little luck. Have good one!
Elias,
I’ve usually got my face plastered right up against my laptop on Sundays so I haven’t done any extensive research on mobile stat trackers. I usually just use my fantasy leagues or NFL.com for live stat tracking.
I have actually checked out fantasy football apps for live tracking or just apps for good, comprehensive stats on NFL games and nothing out there impressed me. I will post if I find anything worthwhile.
Nick,
I went to PlayoffBlitz and I only saw and option to pay. I saw nothing about where I could win money or the total cash prizes. I like the simple design of the site but I need way more information before I sign up.
Sorry Man… our site is a league manager. Much like standard FFL sites during the regular season. Only you don’t have to struggle to get everyone together for a draft. Just send them an email invitation and they join your league. The commish sets the prize money up front with the league members. That part is not controlled by our site. Here is a link to our rules page for more info playoffblitz.com/rules . You can invite your regular FFL members or everyone human you know. unfortunately, we currently do not have a cash pay out game, but we are considering putting up a prize to the winner of our ProBowl. Perhaps an Ipod or something. We are still small and self funded. Someday when we are as big as CBS or Yahoo we’ll put up $10,000 like they do…
Anyway give it a whirl to see if you like the format. Send me an email if you do and I’ll extend our world famous tt.timber writers discount to you… %100 off. What a deal, eh? Have a good one, and good luck in your cash leagues.
Nick,
Nothing wrong with that. I really like the simple design. Looks like a quality site. If anybody else is looking to form a playoff fantasy football league, definitely check out playoffblitz.com. I’m not starting any leagues but I appreciate the offer.
Thanks Nick and good luck to PlayoffBlitz.com.
We have a free league commissioner for the playoffs as well over at fantasypostseason.com . We have been running playoff fantasy for years and have a ton of different options that allow folks to run their league the way they want to. Some folks choose a pick n’ root model, others play a game were you are only able to start any player a limited number of times, others run their leagues like regular season leagues with trades and free agency.
Check it out and let me know what you think.
